Back to Archive Page A 34-year-old gravida 3 para 1 (G3P1) woman at 17 weeks gestation was brought to the ED by emergency medical services after experiencing sudden onset of severe abdominal pain and profound hypotension while at home. There was no history of trauma. Her previous infant was delivered vaginally. A modified focused assessment with sonography for trauma (FAST) exam was performed in the trauma bay. No fetal cardiac activity was present.
